New Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep Watches
The headline of Omega Days 2022 was without a doubt the brand new Planet Ocean Ultra Deep watch collection, which are production versions of the prototype Omega made back in 2019 to accompany the deepest submarine dive in history.
The new Omega Planet Ocean Ultra Deep watches measure 45.5mm wide and 18.12mm thick, and are water-resistant to a whopping 20,000 feet (6,000 meters) deep. There’s no helium escape valve either! Available in either grade 5 titanium or a new steel alloy called O-MEGASTEEL, the new PO Ultra Deep watches are all equipped with ceramic unidirectional bezels, time-only dials, and Master Chronometer Caliber 8912 automatic movements.
New Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Watches
Omega added a new green version of the Seamaster Diver 300M watch, which is a welcome colorway for the ultra-popular dive watch collection. Both the bezel and dial are rendered in green ceramic, and for those who want to go all-in, Omega offers the option of a matching green strap too (otherwise, there’s the customary steel bracelet.)
Everything else on this new green Omega Seamaster Diver remains the same, which is to say a 42mm stainless steel case water-resistant to 1,000 feet (300 meters) deep, skeletonized sword-shaped hands and a date window at 6 o’clock, and the in-house Master Chronometer 8800 automatic movement inside the watch.
New Omega Speedmaster ’57 Watches
For 2022, Omega has refreshed the entire Speedmaster ‘57 line (originally introduced in 2013 but inspired by the very first Speedmaster from 1957) with a brand new movement and a handful of design upgrades. The movement inside the 40.5mm steel cases is the Omega Master Chronometer Caliber 9906, a manually wound movement with a 60-hour power reserve. Due to the slimness of the movement, the new Speedmaster ’57 cases now clock in at a svelte (for a sports watch) 12.99mm thick, and the bezel has also trimmed down.
Omega makes these new Speedmaster ’57 watches available with black, blue, burgundy, and green dials, along with a choice of a steel bracelet or leather straps. The black dial variant really leans into the vintage aesthetic with its “sandwich” construction featuring recessed hour markers filled with honey-toned Super-LumiNova luminescence.
New Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch
The Omega Speedmaster Professional “Moonwatch” is one of the brand’s most beloved watches, boasting a legacy as being the very first timepiece to land on the Moon. Omega is expanding the Speedy Pro line in 2022 with new versions in Moonshine gold — the brand’s proprietary pale-yellow 18k gold alloy.
The latest precious metal Moonwatch is available in two main flavors: one with a matching Moonshine gold dial and black ceramic bezel and the other with a green dial and green ceramic bezel. In customary Omega fashion, both iterations are offered with a choice of a gold bracelet or black leather strap.
New Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Watches
A popular watch trend that has come along in recent years is the rise of brightly colored dials. From bright yellows and fiery reds to cool blues and jewel-tone greens, everything goes. And Omega is now offering up a rainbow palette within the Seamaster Aqua Terra line.
For 2022, Omega introduced 10 new dial colors, spread equally across the steel 34mm and 38mm Aqua Terra models. The larger models come in shades like Atlantic Blue, Bay Green, Sandstone, Saffron, and Terracotta while the smaller variants offer hues such as Sea Blue, Lagoon Green, Sandstone, Shell Pink, and Lavender.
