History of TUDOR
The TUDOR name was first trademarked in 1926 by Veuve de Philippe Huther, a Swiss watchmaking company. This registration was done on behalf of Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of the Rolex watch brand. Wilsdorf eventually took over TUDOR in 1936 and established Montres TUDOR SA in 1946. TUDOR’s mission was to provide high-quality watches similar to Rolex but at a more accessible price point.
Over the years, TUDOR has released various watch models, including the TUDOR Oyster Prince Submariner, TUDOR Black Bay, TUDOR Fastrider Black Shield, TUDOR Heritage Ranger, and TUDOR Pelagos. In this article, we’ll focus on the TUDOR Pelagos dive watch.
