Introduction: A Nod to the Racing Legacy
Tudor marks another milestone in luxury watchmaking with its innovative creations – the Pelagos FXD Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition and its sibling, the Pelagos FXD Chronograph. This fresh lineup is a tribute to Tudor’s collaboration with Alinghi Red Bull Racing, a team well-known in the America’s Cup yacht racing circles. The carbon composite cases, which depart from the original military-inspired Pelagos FXD design, are an exciting twist.
Embodying a New Era of Design
The time-only edition (ref 25707KN) measures 42mm, while the inaugural Pelagos chronograph (25807KN) spans 43mm. Their striking matte blue dials set against contrasting red accents demonstrate a dynamic aesthetic. These watches are encased in matte black carbon composite and topped with a 120-click bi-directional titanium bezel set with carbon inserts. The bezel features a fully luminous 60-minute countdown scale.
Craftsmanship in Every Detail
Titanium forms the crown and the pushers in the chronograph variant. Tudor’s reliable MT5602 movement drives the time-only model, whereas the chronograph houses the MT5813. These COSC-certified movements offer a 70-hour power reserve and operate at a frequency of 4Hz. Plus, the chronograph includes one at six o’clock for those who prefer watches with a date function.
